Innovation

Innovation refers to the creation of better or more effective products, processes, technologies, or ideas that are accepted by markets, governments, and society. For Utrecht Life Sciences and its partners, the innovation process is driven by an internal push of knowledge generated by our scientists and an external pull from society.  The transfer of knowledge to marketable product is a complex process that requires the specialised skills and expertise of dedicated support offices that provide services ranging from patent protection and development of a business plan to infrastructure services for start ups. In Utrecht these services are provided by Utrecht Holdings, Utrecht Valorisation Center and Utrecht Science Park
