NPC Bioinformatics Hotel Utrecht

The Bioinformatics Hotel Utrecht mainly focuses on the development of bioinformatics software and algorithms that facilitate proteomics research. This includes (raw) data (pre-)processing: development and implementation of algorithms for noise filtering, FDR  calculations, database search software and de novo sequence algorithms, data storage and dissemination: storage of raw and processed data into public and local repositories or LIMS systems and extracting biological information from pre-processed proteomics data. The hotel provides access to the Dutch life science GRID (Big GRID) and has a team of bioinformaticians and an scientific programmer for consultation and to provide (technical) bioinformatics support. The hotel is part of the Netherlands Proteomics Centre (NPC).
