Master's programmes

Together, Utrecht University and the University Medical Center Utrecht offer a wide range of research Master’s programmes, organized in the Graduate School of Life Sciences. Over 500 students, of which > 20% originate from outside the Netherlands, participate in these programmes. The programmes last 2 years, are taught in English, and students spend most of their time in the lab, where they participate in ongoing research. After graduation, most students continue their research as a PhD student.

Utrecht Life Sciences is initiated by Danone Research Centre for Specialised Nutrition, Hubrecht Institute for Developmental Biology and Stem Cell Research, TNO, University Medical Center Utrecht, University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and Utrecht University.

Associated partners include Artemis Research Institute for Wildlife Health in Europe, Bilthoven Biologicals, Genmab BV, GlaxoSmithKline, Immuno Valley, Municipality of Utrecht, Province of Utrecht, Taskforce Innovation Utrecht Region, Utrecht Holdings, Utrecht Science Park and Utrecht Valorisation Center.
