Cell Therapy Facility
In the Cell Therapy Facility the manufacturing of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMP’s) and non-ATMP's for several clinical trials is being performed. Our expertise is focused on translational research ("from bench to bedside") compliant with (inter)national legislation.
SPECIFICATIONS MAIN EQUIPMENT:
For ATMP manufacturing, the CTF has three separate cleanrooms (class B and ML-II restricted) with LAF-cabinets, incubators, centrifuges and an immunoselection system for target cells allowing state of the art manufacturing of ATMP's. The facility encompasses more than 200 m2 and includes a quality control laboratory, storage areas, changing rooms, as well as an administrative room. All parameters like particles, pressure hierarchy, temperatures and CO2 levels of the incubators are monitored continuously. For non-ATMP's the CTF owns one class C cleanroom with aLAF-cabinet, centrifuges and an immunoselection system for target cells, a QC lab, cryopreservation equipment and storage rooms as well as administration rooms.
The CTF of the UMC Utrecht has two sites, one for manufacturing of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMP's) which is GMP-accredited since 2006 and a site for the processing of non-ATMP's such as stem cell products and T cells, which has been licensed as a tissue establishment and has been JACIE/CCKL accredited since 2006.
